IPLOT Support for MicroStation V8

November 15, 2001 - InterPlot Client and Professional v10.8, now available for immediate download via SELECTservices Online, were released on November 15th to support MicroStation V8. InterPlot is a production plotting solution that gives organizations the necessary tools to standardize their plotting workflow and reduce errors, giving them higher productivity with superior quality and repeatability. InterPlot Client and InterPlot Professional v10.8 are now available to support MicroStation V8. With this release, users will be able to take advantage of powerful new features in MicroStation V8. Now is an excellent time for users of MicroStation plotting to make the transition to InterPlot.

InterPlot v10.8 will plot MicroStation V8 DGN files from the InterPlot dialog in MicroStation V8 and will also support command line and Organizer plotting of any MicroStation file. As with earlier versions, InterPlot v10.8 will continue to plot DWG and standard raster formats. InterPlot v10.8 uses MicroStation V8 on the client to do its stroking during the plot process. InterPlot v10.8 can plot to InterPlot Server and Digital Print Room v10.2 products.

Please note that the release of InterPlot v10.8 will include only the InterPlot Client and InterPlot Professional products. It will not affect InterPlot Server, Digital Print Room or the InterPlot Driver products. Users can now plot their MicroStation V8 files to paper or into their existing Digital Print Room archives by only upgrading their client products.

Plotting workflows that use the InterPlot dialog to plot from MicroStation/J or MicroStation SE will use InterPlot v10.2. InterPlot 10.2 will continue to be supported and updated as long as there are significant numbers of users who have not transitioned to MicroStation V8.

New license files will not be required to upgrade from InterPlot v10.1 or 10.2 Client and Professional products to InterPlot v10.8.
