As a full-featured CAD engine, MicroStation V8 will assist you in developing 3D models of your engineering designs and preparing traditional 2D documentation sets required by your projects.  To empower the user to produce truly integrated design models, each new copy of MicroStation V8 is licensed with a corresponding Engineering Configuration (EC). As a member of Bentley's SELECT Support program, users have the flexibility to use any one of the available Engineering Configurations, at will, via SELECT Server Licensing, up to the total number of EC's licensed to their site.

MicroStation PowerDraft
Production Drafting CAD Platform
As a low-cost entry point into the MicroStation family of CAD engines, PowerDraft is specifically designed to addresses the immediate productivity needs of your drafting department. It employs an easy-to-use graphical user interface, intuitive viewing techniques and an innovative set of industry-recognized tools for 2D and "baseline" 3D production drafting.
PowerDraft reads MicroStation (V7) design files and AutoCAD DWG (plus DXF) files directly. Based upon the same JMDL kernel that drives MicroStation/J, MicroStation PowerDraft runs both MDL applications and 100% Pure Java applets without modification, providing the foundation for advanced functionality. It can also be easily customized using MicroStation BASIC.
PowerDraft is optimized for Microsoft Windows configurations and provides QuickVision GL support for the interactive manipulation of 3D models in shaded mode.
MicroStation PowerScope
Project Reviewer's CAD Platform
PowerScope rounds out the family of MicroStation-powered CAD engines to provide complete and accurate "read-only" access to your engineering documentation. It enables project reviewers to view and comment on designs, without altering design data. In conjunction with Bentley's ProjectWise Document Management System, MicroStation PowerScope serves as the access point for non-traditional CAD users to participate in automated, "online," production workflows of your project's electronic documentation.
MicroStation PowerScope employs a very simple graphical user interface (GUI), intuitive viewing techniques and an innovative set of mark-up and sketching tools, making it an ideal design review product for casual users and project managers. Optimized for Microsoft Windows configurations, MicroStation PowerScope is easily customized and directly reads MicroStation DGN files and AutoCAD DWG (plus DXF) files.
MicroStation I/RAS B
Line-Oriented (Hybrid) Raster/Vector Document Editor
I/RAS B is Bentley's powerful tool for integrating optically scanned, "legacy," paper documentation into MicroStation workflows. As a proven raster editor, it offers a complete set of functionality to meet the needs of engineers, architects, facilities managers and other professionals. MicroStation I/RAS B is the ideal product to digitally archive, clean up or convert scanned drawings and manage these images in a hybrid environment with MicroStation produced vector graphics.
 With MicroStation I/RAS B tools, you can restore and revise legacy drawings in raster format. MicroStation I/RAS B includes a full suite of engineering tools to assist in the conversion of data from raster to vector formats. A powerful Optical Character Recognition engine allows seamless conversion of raster-oriented text, to MicroStation text elements and automated conversion of line-work/symbols. MicroStation I/RAS B is fully ProjectWise-compliant and integrates well into the MicroStation family of products and their related workflows.
Existing Reprographics users on Bentley's SELECT Support program, can obtain I/RAS B as an upgrade for each copy of Reprographics licensed to your organization.
